PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, concentrates platelets and growth factors from your own blood and delivers them back into the scalp.
PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, also comes from your own blood but uses a different preparation process that creates a fibrin matrix containing platelets and signaling molecules.
Exosome therapy does not rely on concentrating the patient’s own platelets. Instead, it uses extracellular vesicle-based signaling to introduce regenerative messages into the treatment area.

What Is an Exosome Hair Restoration Treatment Like?

The scalp is first prepared and the areas of thinning are identified. A topical anesthetic may be applied for comfort.
The exosome product is then delivered strategically to the treatment areas, typically through microinjections or a protocol incorporating microneedling, allowing the regenerative signals to reach the environment surrounding the follicles.
Treatment is generally well tolerated, and downtime is minimal for most patients.
Mild redness, tenderness, or sensitivity can occur afterward, but most patients are able to return to their normal activities quickly.
